Did
you know that machine quilting is now taking the quilting
industry by storm? Ten years ago the American Quilt Society’s
prestigious contest named a machine quilted quilt “Best
of Show.” Machine quilted quilts are winning awards all
over the world and shedding their previous image of being
inferior to hand workmanship. Nothing will ever replace
the skillful and dedicated work of the hand quilter. However,
machine quilting is now becoming the latest trend for
turning those quilt-tops into completed projects. With
all the stunning quilt patterns and designs now available
every quilt has the possibility of becoming a true family
heirloom.
We here at Blue Ribbon Quilt Co. are currently using A-1 Elite Quilting
Machines equiped with the CompuQuilter
Computerized System engaged. This is one of the
most technologically advanced long-arm machines on the market
today.
In
August 2005 we will be opening up a public quilt studio
in Monroe, Ohio. The studio will equip the community with
longarm machine rental and a training facility. The studio
will also have a meeting room and small quilt shop for those
interested in learning to piece. Please check this site
in mid July for more information about our grand opening.
